Reproduction of the poster for the revue “C’est très excitant” [It’s very exciting] by Grün, first presented at the Moulin Rouge on 24 January 1911.

“Despite the spice with which it is seasoned, this revue offends neither the eyes nor the ears. This is cheerful naughtiness, tasteful frivolity in impeccable taste, never marred by the slightest coarseness” said the accounts of the time.

Jules-Alexandre-Grün (1868-1938) was a French illustrator, poster artist and painter. In 1890, he embarked on a career as an illustrator, which led to drawing satirical cartoons for periodicals.
